HE POLAR BEAR PLUNGE.
COME CELEBRATE 20 YEARS OF COLD WATER PLUNGING IN 2016.
MARYLAND STATE POLICE (MSP) AND AEROTEK PRESENT THE POLAR BEAR PLUNGE.
The MSP Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics Maryland is a fundraising event in which participants pledge $75 or more for the privilege to "Take to the Waters" of the Chesapeake Bay on Saturday, January 30th, 2016 in support of 7,169 athletes around Maryland.
As much a tradition to Maryland as Ocean City, Baltimore Ravens and Orioles and crab feasts in the summer, the MSP Polar Bear Plunge has become a must do annual winter event. Whether you are a wily veteran or planning to join us for the first time we want to become part of your winter planning.
So if you are a toe-dipper, ankles count or full immersion plunger we can't wait to see you at Sandy Point Beach on January 30th, 2016. The Polar Bear Plunge benefits Maryland's children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Your participation in this event enables athletes with intellectual disabilities enjoy the life-changing benefits of participating in over 24 sports with Special Olympics Maryland.
