Unattended candles displaces family

On Tuesday, January 28th around 2:30 p.m. Bay District, Hollywood, and The Naval Air Station fire departments reported to a house fire on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, MD.
The young female resident left a candle burning in the living room for approximately 10 minutes while she ran to a neighbor’s house. Her family was displaced as a result of the fire.
She is being assisted by the American Red Cross as well as friends and family.
