Two Vehicle Collision with Medevac

At 1732 hours, Rescue Squad 2, Rescue Squad 5, EMS Stations 29, 59 and SMALS were alerted to Mechanicsville Road in the area of Browns Way for the motor vehicle collision, reported head on.
Rescue Squad 2 arrived confirming two vehicles involved, one in the roadway and one off the roadway confirming no entrapment. Chief 2 placed Rescue squad 5 in service and the crews from the rescue and engine secured the vehicles and assisted with patient packaging. They also applied absorbent to fluids that leaked on the roadway.
One patient was transported to Medstar St. Mary's Hospital and a medevac was requested for the second patient.
Engine 24 handled the landing site for Trooper 7 who flew their patient to Prince George's General.
Units operated for forty-five minutes.
