At 1609, Ambulance 496 along with surrounding companies were alerted to the intersection of Point Lookout Road and Chisleytown Road for a reported motor vehicle accident reported serious with one trapped. LT 49D (Lowmiller), LT 49A (Morris) and A496 (EMT/IVT Kenney) all responded and were on scene shortly after the dispatch.

Upon arrival, units located a full size truck vs a passenger car with extensive intrusion into the passenger compartment of the car. The driver of the car was pinned by her leg in the door. After about ten minutes, the patient was freed and transferred to A496. She was subsequently flown by MSP Trooper 7 to Prince Georges Hospital Center.

As units were clearing, multiple companies were dispatched to Point Lookout Rd in Scotland for a reported working house fire with multiple subjects trapped. A496 (EMT/IVT Kenney) and A497 (Lt. Purdy) responded within seconds of the initial dispatch. Units arrived on scene locating a two story residence with heavy smoke showing, and a burn victim lying in the front yard. After searching the residence, it was determined all occupants were out and there would only be one victim. A398 transported the patient to St. Michael's School to handle the landing zone for Trooper 6.

Before the start of the regular business meeting, A497 (EMT/IVT Ketner) responded to a female with trouble breathing on Airedele Rd. Just after the finish of the regular business meeting, A496 (Lt. Purdy) was dispatched to St. Mary's College for an allergic reaction. A496 arrived on scene and found a 22 year old male who was suffering from a snake bite to his foot. The patient was transported to St. Mary's Hospital.

Just as A496 was approaching the intersection of Great Mills Road and Point Lookout Road while returning from the previous call, Rescue box 6-01 was sounded for the area of Point Lookout Road and Aster Dr for the reported motor vehicle collision with subjects trapped. A496 responded immediately after the dispatch and arrived first on scene, locating a head-on collision involving a van and passenger vehicle. A496 split into multiple crews to tend to both patients. The driver of the passenger vehicle was pinned under the dash, while the driver of the van was initially trapped in the vehicle. The crew was able to open the door and subsequently extricate the driver of the van without issue. As other units arrived, A496 assumed care of the driver of the van and transported them to St. Mary's Hospital.
