At 1717 hours Station 7, EMS Station 79, and EMS Station 29 were dispatched to Three Notch Road and North Sandgates Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 72, Chief 7A, and Chief 7B responded with 12 Volunteers on the incident.
Rescue Squad 7 was first to arrive finding 2 vehicles with one person trapped. The Squad Officer established the Command while the crew went to work stabilizing the vehicles. Engine 72 arrived and positioned as a blocking unit while the crew assisted with the extrication. Chief 7A arrived and assumed Command and assigned Chief 7B as the Extrication Group Supervisor.
The patient was extricated within 10 minutes and both patients were transported to Medstar St. Mary's Hospital. The units from Station 7 picked up and returned to quarters at 1800 hours.
