On Sunday afternoon at approximately 1300 hours, units from La Plata and surrounding companies were alerted to Southern Star Place for a house fire. First arriving units found fire showing from the first and second floors of a large single family dwelling.
Moments later command requested the Working Fire Dispatch and the Water Supply Taskforce which brought Tanker 24 on the run.
Tanker 24 arrived and began shuttling water while the crew reported to the scene for an assignment. The crew assisted with fire attack and overhaul.
Shortly after 24's arrival, the second alarm was struck which alerted an Engine from Mechanicsville, but was cancelled moments latered.
Tanker 24 operated for approximately three hours.
While returning Squad 2 and Rescue Engine 22 handled an MVA in the first due, and Tanker 24 came across an MVA on Charles Street in Charles County just prior to the county line.
All units were in quarters by 1700 hours.
