Your Second District Volunteers were dispatched for a single vehicle accident on Piney Point Road at Jutland Acres Drive at 4:49 Friday afternoon, 29 July.
First arriving members found a Jeep with a single occupant off the southbound side of the roadway, perched precariously over a creek. The Jeep had to be stabilized to prevent it from overturning into the creek which had approximately a foot and a half of running water.
Once stabilized, fire and EMS personnel began to treat the patient and extricate her from the vehicle. A Medevac was requested because of the patient’s injuries and Trooper 7 was dispatched at 5:12 p.m.
The patient was flown to a trauma center for further treatment of her injuries.
