Pumper Tanker and Ladder Truck Take in 2nd Due Working Fire

At 2212 hours Engine Companies 2, 1, 1002, Tankers 2, 7, 1002, Truck Companies 7 and 1, Rescue Squad 5 and Water Supply 5 were dispatched to 26831 Westfield Lane in Mechaniscville for the reported Garage Fire. Tanker 74 responded immediately upon dispatch with Truck 7 responding shortly after with 11 Volunteers.
Chief 2B arrived on the scene to find a 1 story auto garage well off. Engine 23 was next to arrive with Tanker 74 arriving very shortly after. The crew pulled a 2 inch backup line off of the rear of engine 23 and advanced the line through side alpha, and went to work extinguishing a bulk of the fire. Truck 7 arrived on the scene and went to work opening up for the engine companies and moving debris out of the fire area.
The bulk of the fire was knocked at 2245 hours and placed under control. Command held all units on the scene from 2 and 7 for approximately 2 hours due to extensive overhaul. The Units from Station 7 returned to service at 0023 hours.
