On behalf of the Maryland Fire Rescue Services Memorial Foundation I would like to thank all of the Honor Guard Teams that participated in yesterday’s ceremony. A job well done by all. It was a beautiful June day and all did an outstanding job in the heat. Gene has heard nothing but positive comments from the families of our five brothers added to the Wall of Honor. A special thanks to this year’s Sgt. Of the Guard, Chuck Pembleton of Southern MD VFA HG and Sgt. of the Sea of Blue, Buddy Schweers of Harford County. Please mark your calendars for the first Sunday in June of 2018, June 3rd for next year’s memorial. If you know of any departments with Honor Guards that would like to participate that I may not have information on please contact me. Again, thank you for making Sunday a special day for the families of our fallen.
