It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Past President James “Jimmy” F. Mattingly, III. Jimmy has served 40+ years with the fire service. He was a Past President of Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, Past President of Solomon’s Volunteer Fire Department, and Past President of the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen’s Association. He was also a member of the Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad. Not only did he serve on numerous committees his companies, he also served on committees for Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen’s Association and Maryland State Firemen’s Association. He will be greatly missed by all.

Arrangements are as follows:

Visitation: Friday, June 23, 2017, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Prayers: 7:00 p.m. with Fire Department prayers at 7:15 p.m.
