At approximately 0145 hours, Units were dispatched to a reported Saw Mill fire on Thompson Corner Road in Mechanicsville. Truck 7, Rescue Squad 7, and Chief 7 responded with 12 Volunteers on the incident. First arriving units found a 100 x 40 Saw Mill with fire showing. Truck 7 arrived and positioned for Ladder Pipe operation while the crew assisted with fire attack. Rescue Squad 7 and Chief 7 arrived with the crew stretching an attack line and assisting with fire attack. Chief 7 was assigned Side "C" supervisor. Units remained on the scene for over one and a half hour operating. This incident had Departments from St. Mary's, Charles, and Calvert County respond to the scene. Chief 2 held the Mechanicsville Command.
