Public Information Officer Norman Rea, August 25

At approximately 1801 hrs Solomon's Volunteers were alerted to a boat fire at the Navy Rec Center involving several vessels. Upon arrival crews found a set of jet skis on a trailer on fire next to several other trailered boats. Quickly the crew from Engine 34 extinguished the fire while Ambulance 37's crew attended to the victim. The victim was flown to a burn center while crew cleaned up the incident ... Bay District VFD Celebrates 75th Anniversary Celebration

On Saturday, August 25th the members of Bay District celebrated our 75th anniversary of serving the community. The day started off as a beautiful Saturday morning with an old-fashioned fireman’s parade. Mechanicsville Volunteers, August 14

On August 14 at 1840 hours, Car 2, Rescue Squad 2, Utility 2, UTV 2, and Brush 2 responded to the 26000 Block of Meadow Wood Dr. In Country Lakes for a Animal Rescue. Engine 23 also made the response later on in the incident after handling another emergency in the first due.

At 2213 hours, the Dunkirk Volunteers were alerted for the serious crash in the area of 2797 West Chesapeake Beach Road (512 Box). Squad 5, Engine 5, Ambulance 58, Safety 5A, and Chief 5 arrived to find a work van overturned with one trapped. Starting at 0600 hrs the Solomon's Volunteers have been on the road steady today responding to twelve different calls for services. These calls ranged from standard medical calls all the way to a first due working house fire. In between calls we even utilized the new Zodiac 3 to respond to a DNR assist call for a sunk vessel.
