Bay District Volunteers, March 03

At 12:44 units from Station 3 and surrounding departments were alerted for an auto accident involving a vehicle on fire, the accident was a result of a police chase. Units arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle accident confirming one vehicle on fire with a subject pinned. Mechanicsville Volunteers, February 28

On Thursday, just before 0700 Squad 2, and surrounding EMS units were alerted to Three Notch Road and Point Lookout Road for the Motor Vehicle Accident with reports of one patient with agonal respirations. Rescue Squad 2, Rescue Engine 22, and Chief 2B made the response shortly after dispatch. Units arrived to find three vehicles, with one patient laying in the median.

Congratulations to PFVFD Junior Firefighter Jacob Bowie who placed first in the Regional Skills USA competition. Bowie was up against students from St. Mary’s, Charles and Calvert counties. The students competed at Bay District Volunteer Fire Department in Southern Maryland.

A mixture of snow & sleet resulted in a string of motor vehicle accidents today. At 1517 hours, Dunkirk VFD Squad 5, Engine 52, Ambulance 59, the Fire Chief & both Deputy Chiefs were dispatched to Route 4 in the area of Kelly Generator.

Just after 11:00 a.m. this morning volunteer fire units were dispatched including our surface water team to Leonardtown Road at the Hughesville by-pass for a reported vehicle in the water. Squad Extricates in Lothian

At 1217 hours, Dunkirk VFD Squad 5 was alerted for the accident with entrapment at Route 4 & Talbot Road (Anne Arundel 9-81A Box).

Mechanicsville Volunteers, February 07

At 2011 hours, Rescue Squad 2, Squad 1002, EMS Stations 29, 1002, and SMALS were alerted to Thompsons Corner Road in the area of Bethel Church Road for the Serious MVA, reported one patient trapped and unconscious. Rescue Squad 2(Capt. Raley) and Rescue Engine 22 (Lt. Busl) marked up responding immediately with 12 volunteers. Engine 21 and Squad 1002 marked up moments later.
