| Today, the Calvert County Rescue Dive Team hosted a dive medical class taught by Charles “Charlie” Eisele, with members of Calvert Advanced Life Support and Charles County Dive Team joining us. Charlie brings more than 40 years of experience as a paramedic and is a board-certified Dive Medical Technician and public safety diver. During his career with the FBI, he developed its forensic dive medicine program and trained and managed more than 30 FBI Dive Medicine Paramedics. Preparing for dive emergencies takes teamwork, both in the water and on shore. Training together helps strengthen the coordination between divers and the medical providers who support them. The class covered dive emergencies, including recognizing signs of decompression illness, arterial gas embolism, barotrauma, and other diving-related injuries. Early recognition, prompt communication, safe recovery, and timely medical care can make a critical difference. Thank you to Charlie for sharing his knowledge and to everyone who took the time to attend. These partnerships help us better support our divers and the communities we serve. 100% Volunteer. Covering all of Calvert County. Ready to Respond 24/7. #CCRDT #DiveTraining #PublicSafetyDiving #CalvertCounty #MutualAid |
