One Trapped at Jones Wharf Road

At 1105 hours Station 7, Rescue Squad 1, EMS Station 79, EMS Station 19, and St. Mary's ALS were dispatched to Three Notch Road and Jones Wharf Road in Hollywood for a Motor Vehicle Accident with possible one person trapped. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 73, and Chief 7 responded on the incident and arrived within minutes.

Chief 7 was first to arrive finding two vehicles in the intersection with one occupant unconscious and trapped. Rescue Squad 7 arrived next and went to work stabilizing the vehicle and deploying the HURST Rescue Tools to begin the extrication. While the crew was extricating the trapped occupant Command requested a Medevac for a Priority 2 Category "B" patient. The patient was extricated and turned over to EMS on the scene. Engine 73 established the Landing Zone for Trooper 7 at the accident scene and Rescue Squad 1 assisted with traffic control on the opposite side of the road.

Trooper 7 transported one patient to PG Trauma and the second patient was transported to Medstar St. Mary's for evaluation. Chief 7 held the Command and all units returned to quarters at 1147 hours.
