Engine 72 arrived as the third arriving Engine and laid a secondary supply line from the hydrant. The crew advanced an attack line to the structure and Chief 7A was assigned the "Interior" Supervisor. Crews from Calvert Station 3, Station 9, Station 7, and Calvert Station 2 operated on the inside of the structure dropping all the ceiling to gain access to the fire in the attic. Command held Solomons Engine 3, Engine 91, Engine 72, and Prince Frederick Engine 2 to remain on the scene for overhaul.
