At 2059 hours Company 9, Company 7, Company 3, Company 13, Station 38, Company 79, and EMS 83 were dispatched to Redwood Lane in Wildewood for a garage fire. Company 9 units were already responding to another incident and were on Three Notch Road. Squad 7 continued to the first call, an MVA on Wildewood Parkway while Engine 91 diverted to the house fire.
Engine 91 arrived on scene with a 2 story house with a detached garage, with the front of the garage and the vehicle in front of garage on fire. Engine 91 pulled a 1.75" line to the front of the garage and vehicle. Chief 7 established the Command while Engine 73 ran an attack line to the structure. Once Chief 3 arrived on scene he assumed command. Squad 7 cleared the MVA and their crew assisted with opening up and laddering the house. The crew from Engine 91 and Engine 73 made quick work of the fire and contained it to mostly outside the garage. Crews performed a primary search with negative results and secured power to the structure. Engine 33 crew assisted with ventilation and hooking the ceiling in the garage.
The bulk of the fire was knocked down within minutes and the assignment was scaled back to Engine 91, Engine 73, Tower 9, and Rescue Squad 7.
