Shortly after 0430, companies responded to the 9100 block of Crain Highway for the reported Building Fire. E101 arrived just minutes later to find fire showing from a one-story Commercial Building. The crew immediately made an interior attack, and were assisted by Engine 11 (La Plata) when they arrived on scene. Truck 3 (Waldorf) arrived on scene and began opening up on the inside, as well as the roof. The fire was knocked down within 15 minutes with no extension to the adjacent units. Chief 10B had the Crain Highway Command. One firefighter was transported to a local hospital, and released shortly after for minor injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshall. Special thanks to the members of the Cobb Island VFD Co. 6 for filling our station and to Car 1707 (CCVF&EMS) for all of the assistance during this incident.
