It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that the Waldorf Volunteer Department, Inc. announces the passing of Vernon Monday, Life Member and past Deputy Chief. Vernon served our country, community, and department with the highest loyalty and honor. He will be missed greatly.
Visitation is set for Wednesday, June 17th at New Life Wesleyan Church, 9690 Shepherd’s Creek Pl White Plains, MD, from 1300-1600 and 1800-2100 with Firemen Prayers at 1900.
Due to parking constraints, please refrain from bringing large apparatus to the visitation.
The funeral will be held on Thursday June 18th at noon at New Life Wesleyan Church, with internment to follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway Cheltenham, MD.
Any department interested in bringing apparatus to the funeral or assisting with fill-in coverage during the visitation and funeral should contact William Smith, contact information as follows:
