At 0850 hours Engine's 1, 7, and 2, Tankers 7, 5, and 9, Truck 1, Tower 9, Squad 5, Water Supply 5, and numerous EMS units were dispatched to 22472 Eagle Court in Breton Bay for the report of a basement on fire. Engine 10 was the 1st Due Engine on the assignment and advised they would be laying out from Cooper Drive and Eagle Court upon arrival. Engine 10 arrived on the scene with smoke showing from the alpha side and passed the command to the 2nd arriving unit which was Tanker 74 who picked up Engine 10's line and Chief 7 establishing the Eagle Court Command. Command assigned Engine 10's OIC the basement division and initially assigned Captain 7 the division 1 supervisor, as units were getting all lines in place. The basement division advised that there was no access to the basement other then the interior stairwell and that there were no windows in the basement for ventilation purposes. The basement division advised that they had a knock on the fire and would start ventilation as soon as the resources arrived. Engine 72 was the next unit to arrive with Chief 7B handling the vent group, along with securing the power to the residence. Multiple fans were used to begin the ventilation process as Rescue Engine 22 arrived as the 1st special to assist. The crew from Tower 9 arrived on the scene and completed searches of the residence, and at that time Command held the assignment to units from Company 1, 7, and 2. Units remained on the scene for approx. 1 hour to complete overhaul and continuing ventilation to the basement area. Once the residence was cleared of all smoke, all units returned to service and the Eagle Court Command was terminated.
