William “Bill” Olsen on February 15, 2017. Mr. Olsen joined our department in 1955 and served the citizens of Charles County loyally for over 62 years. Mr. Olsen also served honorably in the armed forces protecting our great nation. Friends and Family will be received on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm (Firemen’s Prayers 7pm) at Calvary United Methodist Church, 3235 Leonardtown Road, Waldorf, MD, 20602. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 11am at Calvary United Methodist Church, 3235 Leonardtown Road, Waldorf, MD, 20601. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery on Berry Road in Waldorf, MD. A repast will be held at Fire Station 3, 3245 Old Washington Rd, Waldorf MD, 20602 following interment services. Deputy Chief Jeff Duer (301-742-4708) has been appointed as the family/fire department liaison and will act as the point of contact for departments wishing to attend with apparatus.
