Working Chimney Fire in Dunkirk

1513 hours, the Dunkirk Volunteers and surrounding companies were alerted for the chimney fire at 11215 Country Road (510 Box). Engine 51, Engine 52, Squad 5, Tanker 5, Brush 5, Ambulance 58, Car 5 & the Assistant Chief arrived on location of a one-story brick rambler with fire showing from the chimney. The crew from Engine 51 stretched a line to Side "A" and checked the attic for extension while the crew from Engine 52 began investigating the wood stove. Squad 5 laddered the roof and worked in coordination with interior crews in extinguishing the fire. Units from the Dunkirk VFD returned to service at 1604 hours
