Working House Fire / Scotland, MD

4-08 Box, 19:57 - Ridge Units were dispatched to Cornfield Harbor Road in Scotland for the reported structure fire. Engine 41 (Chief Mercure) arrived on location at 20:00 and began a quick attack with an 1 3/4" handline through the front door. Tanker 4 arrived behind E-41 and supplied them. Squad 4 arrived at 20:06 and assisted interior crews with securing utilities and salvage and overhaul. Engine 141 pulled a separate 1 3/4 handline and assisted with extinguishment. Truck 3 assisted with laddering the roof to check for extension. All remaining units reported to staging. The fire was held under control at 20:10. Red Cross was called to the scene to help the family displaced from the fire. All family members were accounted for with the exception of several family pets. The fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office. Units cleared at 22:15.
