On Thursday afternoon, July 11, 2019 Officers and members of Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association & Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Ladies Auxiliary came together to show our support for Hollywood VFD to assist with their annual carnival. Your SMVFA Volunteers were tasked with staffing the food stand. We started prepping the equipment and then the fun began. We assisted with cooking hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, french fries, chicken tenders and chicken filet sandwiches. Unfortunately Mother Nature did not want to cooperate and due to the severe weather we received we stopped operations when the carnival was closed.
