Garage Fire in the First Due

At approximately 3:50 pm the Dunkirk volunteers were alerted to a reported building fire at 1810 Inverness Way in Dunkirk (508 box). Engine 51, Truck 5, Tanker 5, Chief 5 and Chief 5C responded. Dunkirk units arrived to find a detached garage with smoke showing.
Engine 51 stretched a hand line and handled fire attack while Truck 5 laddered the building, ventilated and opened up for the engine companies. Tanker 5 assisted with the water supply. Chief 5 had command.

The units quickly knocked down the fire and checked for extension. Units from Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department, North Beach Volunteer Fire Department, Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department, Anne Arundel County Fire Department, and Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department assisted. The fire was placed under control with no injuries reported.
