1. Peloton Recalls Tread Treadmills Due to Risk of Injury:
Recall Date: May 5, 2021

Recall Summary

Name of Product: Tread


Hazard: The touchscreen on the treadmill can detach and fall, posing a risk of injury to consumers.

Remedy: Refund, Repair
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled treadmills and contact Peloton for a full refund. Peloton is offering consumers who do not want a refund the option of waiting for a free inspection and repair that will secure the touchscreen to the treadmill to help prevent future incidents. CPSC and Peloton will provide an update when a timeline on that repair is made available.

About 1,050 (In addition, about 5,400 in Canada)

Description:
This recall involves Peloton Tread treadmills with model TR02.The recalled Tread has a running space of 59 inches, a 23.8-inch high definition (HD) touchscreen console and a non-slatted running belt. The model number TR02 is printed on a black sticker located on the end cap in the front of the treadmill deck. The treadmills have a touchscreen and are black with the Peloton logo on the monitor and the side rails.

PLEASE NOTE: This product is different than the Peloton Tread+ that was also recalled by the CPSC on May 5, 2021 because children, pets, and objects can be pulled underneath the Tread+ deck, posing a risk of injury or death.


Incidents/Injuries:
The firm is aware of 18 reports of the touchscreen loosening and six reports of the touchscreen detaching and falling. No injuries have been reported in the U.S. There have been reports of minor injuries such as abrasions, minor cuts, and bruises in Canada and the United Kingdom.

Limited invitation-only release online at onepeloton.com and at Peloton showrooms from November 2020 through March 2021 for about $2,495.

2. Peloton Recalls Tread+ Treadmills After One Child Died and More than 70 Incidents Reported:

Recall Summary

Name of Product:
Tread+

Hazard:
Adult users, children, pets and objects can be pulled underneath the rear of the treadmill, posing a risk of injury or death.

Remedy: Refund
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Tread+ and contact Peloton for a full refund until November 6, 2022. Consumers who return the Tread+ treadmill after that date will receive a partial refund. Peloton is offering consumers who do not want a refund the option of moving the Tread+ free of charge to a room where children or pets cannot access the treadmill, and is implementing software improvements to the product to automatically lock the Tread+ after each use and prevent unauthorized access by assigning a 4-digit passcode that will be required to unlock the Tread+.

Description:
This recall involves the Peloton Tread+ treadmill with model number TR01. It has a running deck space of 67 inches, a 32-inch high definition (HD) touchscreen and a slatted belt. The treadmill was launched as the Peloton Tread in 2018 but renamed Tread+ in September 2020. The Tread + model number TR01 is printed on a black sticker located on the end cap in the front of the treadmill deck. The treadmills have a touchscreen and are black with the Peloton logo on the monitor and the side rails.

PLEASE NOTE: This product is different than the Peloton Tread that is also subject to a voluntary recall in cooperation with the CPSC on May 5, 2021 because the console on the Tread can detach and fall, posing a risk of injury to consumers.


Incidents/Injuries:
A 6-year-old child recently died after being pulled under the rear of the treadmill. In addition, Peloton has received 72 reports of adult users, children, pets and/or objects being pulled under the rear of the treadmill, including 29 reports of injuries to children such as second- and third-degree abrasions, broken bones, and lacerations.

3. TJX Recalls Infant Sleep Bags Due to Suffocation Risk; Sold at T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and Sierra:

Hazard:
The size of the neck opening is too large for infants 0 to 6 months, which can allow an infant's head to slip into and be covered by the sleep bag, posing a risk of suffocation.

Description:
This recall involves infant sleep bags, in size 0-6 months, that were sold under the brand names Dylan & Abby, First Wish, First Wish Organic, Harry & Me, Little Red Caboose, Piper & Posie, Sam & Jo, Sam & Jo Organic, Shabby Chic and Willow Blossom. The brand name and size are printed on two separate labels at the back of the neck. The style number is printed on a separate label located on the inside side seam behind the care label. The sleep bags zip up the middle or to the side of the front, and were sold in a variety of colors and designs, including animals, dinosaur bones, splatter paint, circus designs, construction, cars, florals, clouds, robots, stars, dino dudes, monsters and firetrucks. Description:
This recall involves all WAYNE WaterBUG GLOW model WWB Glow 1/6 HP Multi-Use Pump units with SKU number 57732-WYN1. The SKU number is printed on the yellow spec decal on the side of the pump. The model number is printed on the warranty tag attached to the power cord. The pump is a residential submersible water removal pump with an automatic shut-off feature. When the pump is running, the plug glows green and when it shuts off, the plug glows red. The pump has a black strap for carrying and placing the pump where it is needed. This recall only includes the WaterBUG GLOW model.


Incidents/Injuries:
The firm has received 28 reports of the circuit board malfunctioning, including two reports of minor burn injuries.

5. Kolcraft Reannounces Recall of Inclined Sleeper Accessory and Urges Consumers to Act Now to Prevent Risk of Suffocation:

Name of product:
Inclined sleeper accessory included with Kolcraft Cuddle 'n Care 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline Sleepers and Preferred Position 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline Sleepers

Hazard:
Infant fatalities have been reported with other manufacturers' inclined sleep products, after the infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side, or under other circumstances.

Remedy: Refund
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled inclined sleeper accessory and contact Kolcraft for a $35 voucher to be used on www.Kolcraft.com or a $20 refund. The voucher can be used until February 20, 2022. Kolcraft is contacting all registered owners and known purchasers directly via a postcard by mail. Consumers can continue to use the bassinet without the inclined sleeper accessory.

Model numbers are located on the metal bar between the bassinets' legs. The inclined sleeper is the only portion of the product that is being recalled.

This recall involves outdoor wooden folding chairs with armrests, in an oil stain finish, some of which were labeled with "Nautica" on the hang tag. The chairs measure about 22.5 inches long, 21 inches wide and 35 inches tall. The chair back has 8 slats and the seat has 7 slats. The chair may be stamped "MADE IN VIETNAM."

Incidents/Injuries:
TJX has received 18 reports of the recalled chairs breaking or collapsing, including 15 reports of falls that resulted in minor injuries, including back and neck injuries and lacerations.
