The officers and members of the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad regretfully announce the passing of Life Member Robert Benedict “Bobby” Abell. Bobby joined the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad on June 7th, 1966. He held the positions of Chief, Assistant Chief, President, Vice President, and Board of Director. He was bestowed Life Membership in 1981 and became a member of the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen’s Association Hall of Fame in 2008. Bobby was a friend to many and will be sorely missed.

Viewing will be held on Friday, July 22nd, from 5-8 with EMS Prayers at 7pm. The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, at 10am. All services will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Ridge, MD.
