Join us at the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department on November 8, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 PM for our Chili Cookoff & Fire Safety Palooza, a family-friendly afternoon featuring great chili, fire safety activities, and fun for all ages.
Admission is free! Guests can sample chili entries and vote for the Best in Class. Drinks and hot dogs will also be available for purchase.
Families are invited to take part in a variety of fire safety activities, including learning how to create a family fire escape plan, learning about fire extinguishers and lithium-ion battery safety, meeting firefighters, trying on firefighter gear, touring fire engines, and meeting Sparky the Fire Dog.
Want to enter your chili?
Registration is $20, with three competition classes: Mild, Medium, and Hot. Contestants should bring their crockpot(s) full and compete for a Best in Class trophy and Chili Champ bragging rights.
